This week, he's been sleeping most of the days. Today, he woke up at 6 and I fed him. He fell back asleep. Woke up at 8:30 and I fed him. I was able to keep him awake for about 45 minutes and we did tummy time, etc. Then, he fell back asleep and he's been sleeping ever since (it's now 11:40 a.m.). I'm thinking he may be up for a while when he gets up from this nap, but I expect another big nap before the evening. Not sure if he's going through a growth spurt or what??
LO day sleep schedule depends on how well she slept that night.
If she slept through the night (9/10:30 - 5:30/7), she has one long nap (2-4 hours) around noon-time, and about 2-4 half hour naps spread out through the rest of the day. This is also how she sleeps if we get outside for a long walk - FRESH AIR!
If LO doesn't STTN, she only gets up once, but that will cause her to take two long naps, also 2-4 hours, first around 10, second around 2. Also, still taking about 2-4 half hour naps.
"Bad Night" LO still only gets up once, but can take 2-3+ hours to get back to sleep... This makes three long naps, but only because it takes her SO long to fall back to sleep over night. 2-4 half hour naps.
Re: How much and how often is your 8-10 week old sleeping?
Last week, he was up pretty much all day.

Hope this helps :-)
Although we are just getting into a sort of "routine" here is our daily schedule:
sleep from 11pm-6 am
feeding at 6, sleep again until 10
nap from 12-1
feeding between 1 and 2
nap 3-4or5
feeding at 6
feeding at 10/11 then bed
what's your "schedule" like?
DD goes to bed between 8 and 9, usually gets up around 2 then is up at 6-7.
I try to get her down for a nap in the morning, usually 8-10ish
Up to feed and we usually head out to run errands around 11:30 if need be, she usually catnaps during that
Feeding between 1-2, playtime at some point depending on how tired she is
2 hour nap
feeding between 3-5
1-2 hour nap
up around 7 for playtime, bathtime, feeding then bed
