Anyone ever use Provera?

Any side effects?  I have to use it to start AF 5 months after delivery and afraid I am going to feel like crap for 10 days

    I've used it a few times to induce AF, and I know a lot of people talk about side effects like fatigue, sore bb's, or increased appetite, but I never had any of those. I always took mine before bed, and would get AF 2-3 days after the lsat pill.

    Ditto. It was the only way that I could get a period. I used it for years before the kids.  

    TTC since 7/06, found out about PCOS on 8/31/06 Dec.2007~ Metformin 1500mg, prenatals, Femara 2.5mg)(cd3-7), Gonal F 100iu(cd5-?) and Ovidrel with TI. DH~ antibiotics to improve motility (cd1-10)

    Ditto, I never noticed any s/e.  I had to take it twice to get my period.  The first time I started my period before I was done with the pills and the second time it took a full 14 days after the last pill for me to start.


    Clomid M/C 8 weeks 2/08 *IVF #1-DD born 3/09

    Unfortunately it made me very cranky when I was on...however I just finished it so I could get my clomid cycle underway. It's not too bad....but it made me tired and cranky. It does work though, got AF 3 days after stopping a 10 day dose. GL!

    TTC# 2 since February 2010 - BFP #1 Sept 2010-(5mg Femara, 1500mg Met, Ovridel) Missed M/C at 10w2d, discovered at 13w2d, D&C at 14w

    BFP # 2 - February 2011-(1500mg Met, HCG Injection) Missed M/C at 10w1d, discovered at 10w3d, D&C at 11w...RPL testing came back all normal.

    Trying again. June 2011 - Clomid/1500 mg Met / Baby Aspirin - BFFN!

    July 2011 Femara/1500mg Met/ Baby Aspirin - c/p

    August 2011 - Femara/1500mg Met/ Baby Aspirin - c/p

    September 2011 - Puregon/ 1500mg Met/ Baby Aspirin - BFFN!!!!

    Same here. I've taken it a bunch of times.
