So much for hand me downs.....

Last night I started looking through all of Colin's old clothes....apparently I forgot how big Colin was, b/c I was thinking that Hayden could wear all of them.  Um, no.  He is only in 6-12 month sizes and at this age, Colin was already well into 12-18 and starting around 10 months or so, he was in 18-24 month clothes.  I'm going to have to buy all new summer stuff for both boys!  Augh!  must.not.forget.gymbucks!

  • Sorry you have to spend money, but shopping is fun.  :)

I would take some of Colin's clothes off your hands, but even Brady isn't wearing those sizes yet, and he's a big boy!  We should go shopping together because I need some summer clothes for Brady, too!

  • :(  I'm sorry lady!  I got lucky that Riley is so huge he caught up in seasons and is totally wearing most of Finn's clothes, score!

  • I'm pretty fortunate that Jack can wear most of Ethan's old clothes, but there are a few things that are already too small.  Jack is heavier than Ethan was at this age, so I've not only had to buy new clothes for Ethan for the spring/summer, but I'm also having to pick up a few things for Jack.  I feel for you!

  • I am really lucky bc for the most part P fits in her cousin's HMDs and I have gracious plenty clothes between what I buy plus what my sister gave me and my mom always buys stuff for them both but more stuff for my niece bc she plans that it will get passed down, barely worn.  I have to supplement with the odd tshirt or two but for the most part it really works well.

There is no relative with a boy so Isaac gets all new clothes, I guess.

  • Ah, I've had to supplement Ethan's wardrobe heavily from birth since he and Jack are completely opposite seasons in the year (March vs. Septemeber birthdays...and they are similar sizes at each age).  But I'm making it work where I can, when I buy Ethan new stuff now he needs 18-24 (it's a little big), but he can actually still fit in 12-18 month stuff so he's wearing all of Jack's old summer stuff for a few months till he's outgrown it.

  • We're the opposite Carrie. Reid is much bigger than Grant was and at this age (20mos) Grant was still wearing 12mo shorts...at the moment my 20mo old and my 3.5 year old are both wearing 2T.....I'm going to have to buy more since I have 2 wearing the same!

  • Yep, my boys were born in different seasons plus Noah is a chunky monkey whereas Benjamin was a skinny little thing at the same age.  I can make some of B's things work for Noah but I had to get a lot of new things for him.  We're actually headed up to the outlets tomorrow for some more spring/summer things for both boys.
