How do you keep your LO awake after feedings?  My DS tends to fall asleep while being burped.  I can't figure out how to keep him awake after feedings so we can all become Babywise.

    when my lo was this young his wakeful period was only about 10 minutes after he nursed....I follow Babywise too...but when they are as little as yours they have a very small wakeful period. I think the book even mentions that. So instead of a 3 hour cycle, right now yours may look like a 2.5 hour cycle....smell what I'm steppin' in?

    So the 10 minutes of open eyes in his swing while I wash bottle is enough waketime?

    It is a method of helping your LO sleep through the night (eventually) and develop good sleep habits from day one.  My LO is almost 6 weeks, and we definitely are NOT Babywise yet.  It's actually a book called "On Becoming Baby Wise".
