GD - 1st Growth U/S today

Baby is measuring about 2.5 weeks ahead (33 w 5d), and weighed in at a wooping 4lbs 6oz.  Holy moly baby! 

Everything else looked good, but it is looking like this June baby is going to be a May baby now.  I am pretty sure they are going to talk induction for me...my only hope is that they at least let me try and go natural and they don't require me to get an amnio on the baby.  I am very against this as I am worried it will hurt my baby.  I understand that it is only for lung development and the safety of the baby, but it still really worries me. 

Fluid levels above normal, but nothing to worry about.  Cord looked good.  Got the DVD since DH couldn't be there.  Lots of hair and chubby cheeks.  I am already in love!

My baby weighed the same at my growth u/s last week.  He's a whopper already.  *lol*

 I was so surprised at how big my LO has gotten since the 19.5 week ultrasound.  When they first popped that head up on the screen I thought "OMG I do grow em big" LOL

I think this means that we are going to have nice healthy babies (at least that is what I am praying for)!

Wow!  So are you on insulin?  Is that why they are already doing a growth ultrasound?

I know they'll do one for me, but not until 36 weeks (unless NST or fundal height don't look good).  Just curious why you had it so early.

I am on glyburide 2.5 in the morning and 5.0 at night.  My regular OB asked me today when they were planning on doing an u/s.  I told her 38 weeks.  She did belly measurements today and said UHHH you are measuring quite a bit larger than you should, we need to check everything.  So they rushed me ahead and got me in this morning for an u/s.  She was right too as you can see. 

They are being very causious with me.  I am still struggling with my dinner and fasting numbers.  I am hoping since they upped my doseage at night it is going to help as I am getting very frusterated because I am definatly following the diet.  Only time will tell I guess.

I would skip the amnio as well. I declined it with my first and just got the steriod shots. I figure if you are having a preemie and they know it....shouldnt they be prepared if the lungs need some help??

I hope they give me this option.  We will see in time....it's crazy how quick this is all coming about really.
