And I have to say, it's sort of fun for me (in a sick, twisted way) to call and hear that she only wants me and that nothing he tries keeps her from throwing temper tantrums and being cranky.  Nothing invokes empathy like getting a taste of what he misses, being gone most weeks!

(That being said, I do feel sorry for him, but only to a point: My MIL lands this afternoon and after that point he won't have to lift a finger to help out.)

That's hilarious. I tend to get a little satisfaction when DH can't handle Cason either. It makes me feel good for him to get a taste of what I go through every day after I get home from work.  A few times after he has watched Cason, he will mention to me how great of a job I'm doing. You're right. It's nice to get some empathy!
