Did you avoid onions or anything? I didn't, but I'm about to cook for a friend (I wasn't going to do anything spicy, but was going to include onions and green peppers) and I didn't know if the onions thing was just a wives' tale or for real. Thoughts?

I avoided super spicy food (but not regular spicy usually) and caffeine at first. I don't normally eat onions, but I think they're fine.
Eventually though, I had to cut dairy and boiled eggs both of which aggravated reflux. But it's safe to assume that just home from the hospital, she doesn't have these concerns yet.
I ate and drank everything.
I know I have a picture of me nursing DD when she is like 2 wks old holding a miller lite. I am klassy like that.
Ok, thanks yall!
I have one of me like that with a Leinenkugels. It's probably my favorite pic EVER.

lol - I have one of me like that with a Newcastle. YAY beer!
And I didn't avoid anything, either.
our bradley instructor actually said that's the best time to drink because baby is done eating by the time the alcohol makes it into your bloodstream/milk and it's usually out (unless you're tying one on lol) by the next feeding so you don't have to pump and dump. :-)

That was always my theory as well! I nursed DS and a glass of wine together several times over the past 17 months.
Oh and I didn't avoid any food.
