Babies won't be together for 8 hrs tomorrow.. it makes me sad :(

DS is sick so he is going to my mom's - he isn't that sick but I don't want to take him to the in home babysitter's they go to once a week.

DD is healthy so she is going to her regular Weds. in-home daycare.

They have never been apart for more than an hour and it makes me sad to split up the team... is that weird?

I know they will have to be apart as they get older, but I am afraid they will miss each other tomorrow since they have really started to interact in the past week or so...

  • i think it is good for them to be apart occasionally. im not sure at what age, but at some point we plan on taking one out with me and the other will stay home with DH so they get used to it. my guess is it will be harder on you then them ;)
  • i never thought I'd care about splitting them up - but when it became time to move Gray up to the "mobile infant" class at daycare b/c he's crawling - and Gibby is not near crawling and there was a chance he'd have to stay behind i was SOOO sad.  Thankfully they moved them both together.

once i had Gray in the PNP and gibby couldn't see him but could hear him and he was going nuts trying to lean over to see Gray --- it made me realize they really do notice eachother even when they pretend they don't.

  • I do think it's good for them to get used to being apart sometimes. That said, I'd be a little sad, too.

  • yeah, i'd be sad too.  it'll be nice for ds to get all that attention though, since he isn't feeling well.
