why after only 1 hr am i so FULL

and feel engorged. DS is 2 weeks old today, and after my milk came in and all that pain subsided everything was going well for 2 or 3 days now starting last night, after DS eats  im so full in only like 1 hr  that im busting at the seams, i leak like crazy and im so sore. why is this happening?  is this normal? i finally got relief from milk coming in engorgment and now this? whats going on? is this normal?  could something im eating be causing my body to produce this much? iv been trying to feed, my DS every time i get like this every hour but he nurses for like 5mins on one side and is done, prolly cuz he just ate  1 hr ago. so i cant get any relief.  help

I produced A LOT during the first month or so until my breast adjusted to how much DD was eating.  I tried to pump at night to relieve engorgement and to build of a freezer stash.  After feeding DD, I would still pump out about 10 oz.  My body just kind of adjusted to how much LO needed on its own, and now I feel no pain/engorgement.  I can still pump out about 6 oz at night though.  I would give it a little time, and I wouldn't pump a bunch of times during the day, otherwise your breasts will continue to produce that much.  It is a supply and demand relationship.

It's normal. At that time, I had to pump b/c it was so painful. I was pumping about 5 oz from each boob. It gets better; just hang in there and don't pump too often. Try to do the lettuce compress, it really helps.
