Really wish I did. We signed up to do so with NIH for the first pregnancy. Not even sure where to find that info. My middle daughter has sickle cell anemia, and it will be helpful if in the future she may need a transplant of some sort.
I really wanted to, and we even had the money to do so. I however didn't get on the ball and order the collection kit in time. I hope to do it when we have our next LO.
I asked my OB about this and he told me it was pointless and a waste of money. He said very rarely will you ever need it and it costs more to store than you will ever get out of it. I will probally stick with that theory until I hear something that will convince me otherwise.
This. She stopped just short of using the word "scam" and told me not to do so until there is a public banking system in place.
