Do you mean "gymdogfran"? She posted a great update below
If you mean someone else, sorry!
Thanks! I saw gymdogfran's update and I am sooooo excited for her. No, there is another poster with the screen name Franny and I wondered what happened to her.

Hi Girls, I am here! Lurking a bit...I'm at a TTC crossroads so haven't posted much other than to support the ladies here. I don't want to be a downer so I haven't posted about my own situation.
In the past two months, we've hit the 2 year TTC mark and I turned 40. We have not been actively TTC and I am sort of at peace with the decision. Although with two boxes of Follistim in the fridge and trigger shot in the drawer, we still may do a Hail Mary IUI. To further complicate things, I am losing my job and benefits at the end of the month (can pick up COBRA or DH's coverage both are a fortune).
I love that you "paged" me Holly and I am so excited for your upcoming IVF and Joy's IUI among the other ladies here!!
So sorry about losing your job. I hope you find a new one that you like even better very soon. When I lost my job as an attorney (many years ago), it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me. I ended up making a complete career change and was so much happier. So, I hope that things work out well for you too.
I am glad you are feeling somewhat at peace with your decision about TTC. I think it must be nice to not be so focused on it. I know that I sometimes think about quitting and to be honest, I feel a bit of relief when I think about it. But, on to another IVF first. :sigh:
Good luck if you end up doing the hail mary IUI!

I haven't seen Franny around in a little while. I haven't seen QE in quite awhile.
Girls, are you around?
And how are you doing, Holly?
I am doing ok. I go in for a supression check tomorrow and then if all goes well, I start stims on 4/9. I am not very optimistic that this will work, but we shall see. If this doesn't work, we are definitely moving on to DE and I am excited at the thought of trying something with much better odds. On a not TTC note, work has been much busier and since I am self employed that is a good thing!
How are you doing? I saw a post about some cramping?! I think that could be a good sign. Fingers crossed for you.

Good luck with suppression check tomorrow. Keep us posted!
I know how hard it is to be optimistic for one's own self sometimes - and what an emotional risk it can be. I have vascilated between "this TOTALLY worked!" and "There's no what in H-E-L-L this worked!" for a week now.
I'll be optimistic on your behalf, if you'll be optimistic for me, ok?
If it doesn't work for you, I'm so glad you've got the DE option. Some of our TTC@35+ sisters should be poster moms for DE. You know who you are, you happy, happy girls!!
Thanks for crossing your fingers for me, Holly. I would take all the cramping and exhaustion in the world if it meant this IUI worked! Not saying it didn't, but I really do think those symptoms are a result of the progesterone I'm on.

Hi, Franny.
Nice to "see" you.
I'm so sorry to hear about your job. That bites! I was there a few years ago. I know that good things are ahead for you - and you know it, too - but the getting there can be oh-so-suckety!
Not that my vote matters, but I do vote for doing the Hail Mary IUI, if you can swing it, since you've already got the meds. At least for me, they were the priciest part.
Thanks for thinking of me with my own IUI. We are in similar situations, TTC wise, as you know. And I have to say, whatever the odds, and whether I beat them with a BFP or not, I'm really glad I did this IUI. I think it will help me accept the future, whatever it brings.
