Warm, red cheek??

We have noticed that Emma's left cheek is warm and red.  Looks a little like a rash, but isn't raised or chapped.  We've been keeping Aveeno lotion on it, but it's still red.  No fever, no other symptoms whatsoever.  Any ideas??  We discovered that she was allergic to our new Kirkland's laundry detergent and I'm pretty sure we re-washed everything that was washed in it.  Hubs just changed her sheet and blanket in the crib because it's mostly on the side that she sleeps on.  Could it just be from the detergent, or does it sound like something else???  Help!

Do you think she is teething?

    Hope it clears up soon.

  • I don't THINK she's teething, but I'm not certain.  She's toothless, but hasn't been extra fussy and isn't drooling excessively.  I suppose it's possible though.....

  • This has happened to all 3 of mine. I thought ours was detergent related too...but it was odd that it wouldn't be other places that the fabric touched them.  Eventually it just went away. I asked the doctor and he said sometimes with viral infections a symptom might be rash-like but without fever, raised bumps, etc. He said it could show up anywhere on the body. Sometimes James will even get what looks like a rash under his belly. It doesn't seem to hurt him. Hope she is ok. :)
