when the LOs are under the weather do you give motrin?

my girls are usually more playful, less cranky, and more... coordinated.  we've had several bumped head booboo's already this morning.  i can just tell they are a little "off".  no fever.  stuffy and sneezy.  does this warrant motrin?

i don't want to be one of the overmedicating moms, but when i don't feel well some tylenol or motrin sure helps me.

I generally give it to them if they are fussier than normal.  Everything in moderation in my book.  :-)

  • I don't give medication unless I have a specific reason.  Have you just tried a nap?

  • I don't give meds unless theres a clear reason, and if so, usually only before bed to help them sleep. My pedi nurse told me to always try Tylenol first, because Motrin can give upset stomach.
