Baby Bump Check-in

Come one, come all..... Its time to hear those updates. Jackie got me so excited with her doubly exciting news yesterday that I want to hear how everyone else is doing.

I am 15 weeks today. I woke up this morning on my back and felt the baby curled up into a hard lump on the right side of my belly. I love when I can feel it. I am not feeling kicks yet but the flutters and slight pressure is there. I am excited for those kicks. I am in full blown maternity clothes and went shopping quite a bit between this weekend and yesterday for work clothes. Its pretty obvious that I am pregnant now so coworkers are asking me left and right without any fear that I will get offended because they are implying I am fat. LOL. The bump is obvious.

I may be able to find out the sex next week, on 4/8. I am officially scheduled for my big u/s on 4/22 but since I am going in on the 8th for bloodwork the tech told me to flag her down and see if we can get a peek at the goods. I hope that works out. I am so dying to know if I am right....or if Sophie is right. :)

.....and that is me. Whats new with the rest of you?

Mel

Re: Baby Bump Check-in

  • Im doing good. Spring break has been bitter sweet since I know its not going to last long... however I only have nine weeks left, when we start back next week. I look forward to being able to stay home again next year, with the baby. I feel better, and am definitely showing now, a lot more than before. Still cant wrap my mind around having a son!

  • Mel - I'm so excited to find out what you are having! What do you think it is?

I'm 21 weeks and a few days and feeling pretty good. I've gained half as much weight at this point than I gained with Quinn so I'm pretty pleased with that.  I've had a lot more hip and back pain this pregnancy than last time too. We are starting the nursery and transitioning Quinn to a big boy bed. So far he seems really excited about having a baby brother, but I'm not sure that he really gets what it means. We are spending the next 4 months doing as many special things with him as we can while he is only child -- like taking him to the zoo this weekend. We are planning a little babymoon in May and I can't wait to get away for the weekend.

    Hope everyone is doing great!

  • Hit the 20week marker! Im showing and she's moving. :) And this being my first, i didnt realize how hungry i would get. ahhh, im starving. Stick out tongue
  • Everything is good here!  I started feeling movement this week... first on Saturday and then more and more as the week progresses.  It's super exciting!  I feel great, I'm looking forward to Sunday for Easter and my birthday and we have our big level 2 u/s on Tuesday, so we should know what we're having soon.  Smile  oh, and the weather, AMAZING!!!!!

  • I'm glad everyone is doing so well! How exciting!

I'm doing OK. I have a sinus infection. :( It's making everything nasty. I've been puking from the coughing more than from morning sickness. I'm hoping to feel a whole lot better after another couple of doses of the antibiotic.

I have quite the pooch going on now. I want to make it clear to everyone it's not from eating too many donuts, but strangers would think I'm crazy.

  • I'm glad everybody is doing good! (MJZ i hope you get better from your sinus infection).

I am doing pretty good! for some reason I have been really tired for the past couple of weeks but that might be because I have been going to bed past midnight everyday for the past few days. I am still not showing. Even people that know me have been shocked when I tell them I will be 4 months preggers on Monday. I don't have a bump but my stomach is definitely not as flat. I hate this stage because since I don't have a bump, i just look like I have a little beer belly. I might need a bella band in a couple of weeks.

Oh, I went pole dancing on Wednesday and that was a lot of fun (my friend threw a Pole dancing bachelorette / going away party for her nanny). I obviously couldn't do every move because I was afraid of hurting the baby but it was a lot of fun!

  • I am getting HUGE!! I will have to share a picture soon, I promise. I am 23 weeks and look like I did at 32 weeks with Sebastian and Nate but haven't gained much weight (thank goodness!).

Baby Christian is moving a ton and the kids and Eric are able to feel him too!

I am really tired but that also has to do with the kids being on Spring Break (I had my friend's kid over the whole week).

I am really looking forward to meeting this little dude!!

  • I'm 35 weeks on Sunday. Holy cow! O.O

Rebecca Charlotte is doing fine and dandy though. We had an appt yesterday and she's vertex and dropping, which explains my pelvic pain! My midwife also told me to do more belly dancing to help with my sciatica. She likes to sit on my nerve for some reason. =/

I got to see her on the u/s and I haven't seen her since 27 weeks! She's gotten sooo big! She flashed us (this girl has NO shame!) and she blew kisses. It was adorable. <3

Pregnancy after the first 5 months (severe morning sickness) has been great but I can't wait to meet our little Rebecca!!

  • Finally getting on today.

I haven't had any spotting since Wed, which I'm very happy about.  Dh and I are finally ubber excited about the pg!  I've been feeling a little fatigue off and on this week, but nothing too terrible.  I also have a lot of bloat, which makes me look like I'm pg (which is impossible considering I'm a few days shy of 6 wks)!  I actually just got back from Kohls, and bought a couple of maternity pieces: 2 dresses (1 work, 1 casual), and a pair of jean shorts.  They had it all 50% off, plus cash bonus days, and no tax.

We still haven't told anyone about the pg; we want to wait until we hear the heartbeats... which is next Friday!  RE said yesterday that I'll have 3 u/s with them, then I "graduate" (move on to my regular OB).  I have an appt w/ him already for Apr 22.  I'm still not 100% convinced that I want to stay with him, but I've heard many great things about him (including that he's one of the best in town).  We'll see how it goes (btw - he's been my GYN for almost 5 yrs).

That's it for now!  Sounds like I'm complaining a bit but I'm really not!  Just documenting what I've been feeling.  : O

So happy to see that you are all doing great!!

I will be 21 weeks on Sunday and I am feeling pretty well at this point! I have been very stressed with my boards coming up in 2 weeks but otherwise have been very hungry lately! The other night I had stuffed shells and right after ate a huge bowl of banana nut cheerios. ;) I am very surprised (and keeps me a bit nervous) that I don't feel this baby as much as I felt the 1st at this point. I do feel him especially at night time but it's a big difference and considering it's my 2nd baby, it is strange to me! Also to my surprise, I get occasional short moments of nausea at this point! This has been a totally different experience than with my 1st! Speaking of hunger...off to have a snack! ;)

  • Doin good here too! Cool  15 wks today.  We have an u/s on wed 4/7 and are told we may be able to find out sex if baby is cooperative!!!!  Trying to just take it one day at a time.  Feeling what I think is the baby(pressure pushing out) but Doc says it could be baby or GAS!!! There def has been alot of that to go around!  My poor hubby.  I am loving my doppler and sooo happy that we got it, so I can hear that beautiful heartbeat whenever I feel like it.

  • Still pregnant! Which is enough Big Smile Can't fit into most of my jeans (I'm with you on the bloat Cocojack Tongue Tied) and I am super excited for my first OB appt (going to try the UM practice despite my reservations, and decide if I hate it after giving them a chance), even though it's not til the 16th... We're going to tell ppl then if we hear a heartbeat, I can't wait anymore!

Glad to hear good & happy news from everyone else too!

  • I'm doing well!  I'm 11 weeks and so excited to be almost out of the first tri.  I've had no more m/s just some indigestion/bloating every now and then.  But, I'm eat smaller meals throughout the day so that's helping.  I have to say it's been a pretty good pregnancy thus far, no vomiting at all.  I am feeling a lot more energized which has helped out tremendously with this move.  I just had my second OB appt and we heard the heartbeat through the doppler!  It was the second time we heard it and it makes it feel so real.
