Just left the doctor's office and he said my numbers look good overall. But no reduction in testing mentioned (maybe I should've asked, but I was thinking with a rogue reading here and there, I'd be too likely and sad to hear a "no.")
The funny thing was he then gave me a range to work with for my 2 hour numbers, which means only 1-2 numbers have really been high over the past few weeks since I started medication...and to think I was slightly concerned about a 96/97 at fasting which happened twice and a few 123's after a meal. He told me as long as it's lower than 100 fasting or lower than 130 after meals, it's not really a concern...that definitely helped me relax a little.
I'll go in for my growth u/s on the 20th, then NSTs will start 2x weekly after that. Fun stuff! I hope my job will understand, as my doctor's office is conveniently open between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm. LOL
To celebrate my "good" appointment, I went next door to Starbucks and got a grande iced caramel skinny latte - 80 calories, 12g carbs, 7g protein - the perfect snack! (oh how I've missed Starbucks so!)
Just thought I'd share!
