Trying to Get Pregnant

s/o phantom due date...

so, i know this far into the process all it really does is get my hopes up, but i was looking just to see if i'd get a chance for a 2010 baby...

So, i looked up my due date based on CD1 and hoping i O at a "normal" time...

good news:  12-31-10!

bad news: that's my anniversary, and makes me cringe a little...

granted, i'm not gonna waste this cycle, Clomid is way to precious and not fun to do something crazy like sit out a cycle, but would that make anyone else cringe a little??

Re: s/o phantom due date...

  • Honestly, the chances of actually delivering on your due date is not all that high.  You could go early or late.  I wouldn't worry about it that much.  I'm sure you'd be thrilled with that as an anniversary gift if it happened that way.

  • Would it make me cringe if my due date was also my anniversary date? No, not at all...

I'm a little confused. Why would that bother you? People rarely give birth "on" their due dates, and even if you did.. why would that matter?

o yes, this i know. i just saw the date and was like, "...eek".  I told DH, "hey we can hope for twins and then it'll be like a month early!" plus... i last cycle i was a late responder to clomid so i didn't O till like CD 19-ish, but again! the good news! chance for a 2010 baby!

edit... apparently i'm the only one who thought it was eek worthy. NM everyone...

  • If I would have conceived a few months ago my EDD was our anniversary, and I would have been thrilled.  Even though I know I probably wouldn't deliver that day, I thought it was really cool.  Actually, it made AF the next cycle that much harder.

That said...I can't imagine caring what day I give birth.  I don't care if it's 6-6 at 6 PM.  I'll be thrilled no matter what.

  • Hi!

I agree and understand, April is our last shot for 2010 baby as well.

I would also cringe because 12/31 is cutting it way too close to almost missing the tax deduction for the year, LOL!!!!  Just trying to make you smile.  I hope you have a great night!!!

GL....I am hoping you get your 2010 babyYes

  • Highly doubtful you'd deliver on your due date!

My due date was 1/10 for DS and he was born 1/2!!! Almost made it for that tax break! :)

  • My Phantom DD is 12/15, which gave me pause simply beacsue I realized that with still this year and therefore, still able to be classified as relatively 'close' to now. This is also speaking as a new year's day baby and I can still recall to stories of how I ruined everyone's NYE and my parents missed that tax break!
  • Due date for our 1st BFP was 2 days before our anniversary and I thought it would be so cool if that baby came 2 days late (or 2 days early... would've been Father's day).

as would i! This hasn't even made me think about stopping, it just took me a-back.  I guess, it was the whole, it's the only day that's "ours".  But again! it hasn't slowed us down!

As to the whole "ruining" NYE for everyone... i already did that when i got married that day! :D

  • whoo hoo! I would love to have a anniversary baby :) this year is 7 years for us and there is nothing we want more than to become a family of three!  What an amazing gift that would be.
  • I was induced with my DS on my anniversary (not my choice).  I was kinda bummed at first that he could be born on our anniversary, but by the time I was in labor i WISHED he was born on that day (just so he would be out!).  Turns out he had other plans and was born 21 min on the next day. :)  I would just take what you can get...you'll figure out the logistics later.  GL
