And more issues stemming from budget cuts

So, they are not going to replace me when I go on maternity leave.  They are just going to have to try to cover the position themselves by the faculty sharing responsibilities and the folks from EHS and Biology labs chipping in.  So, in essence they are going to support half a summer semester (13 labs) and the first third of a Fall semester (35 labs and new Saturday classes) with nobody.  They do "plan" to hire a lab tech but even so, the position won't open until July (when the new budget is approved) and with the state hiring process the tech likely will not be here for 3 months or more, so October at the soonest.  My boss said "I am optimistic you will at least be here until June 22".  Ay yi yi....
