Hi ladies. Thanks so much for all the support yesterday after my posting saying I had returned to the hospital following an intense bleeding episode at home (I have complete placenta previa). I am happy to report that everything has been stable since yesterday morning and my little guy remains active and safe inside at now 29 weeks.
There was talk yesterday of the OB keeping me in-patient until a c-section at 34-35 weeks (or delivery before then if necessary). Fortunately, since I have not had anymore bleeding and everything else has been stable, he is letting me go home to continue bedrest at home. WOOHOO! It would be SO hard to be away from my boys for 6 weeks but we will certainly do what we have to do for the health of the baby (and me). If I have another bleeding episode again, OB says I will be here at the hospital for the duration of the pregnancy so please send all the "no bleeding, stay put baby" vibes you can.
Thanks again for all the love and support, ladies! You're the best!!!

maybe I'm confusing nesties, but was it you whose mom said "you can parent from the couch." about bedrest? I hope you are getting LOTS of help and that your mom is more understanding if it was you!!!!
Take it easy! I'm glad it stopped and you get to go home!l If I lived near you, I'd watch your boys every day (not that you'd want me to....I have a track record now for broken bones! lol)
eeeek I'm glad they're setting you free, but STAY PUT missy!!!!
*hugs*
LOL- yep, that's my mom! She was on my case the last 3 weeks while I was home, on BEDREST mind you, about why were there dirty dishes in the sink and how come there was laundry sitting around? Lovely. I was good about following the OB's orders at home (despite what my mom urged me to do) and the OB said the bleeds unfortuantely just happen with placenta previa.
I promise to follow the bedrest orders at home! 29 weeks is no time to meet my little guy and I will do all I can to keep him safe!

Oh Anne! Sending every good thought and prayer your way. I can only begin to imagine all the thoughts running through your head (you know too much!!) In addition to no-bleeding-stay-safely-inside-mommy prayers your way, I also send along wishes and hopes for you to find ways to care for yourself in small ways - taking care of mama means taking care of the baby (the pedi psychologist in me can't resist saying it - lol).
Lots and lots of (((((hugs)))))) coming your way, too.
Hang in there - and STAY in there, Ryan!!
LOL--yeah unless the bed can carry you to the kitchen and you can lay in that bed while washing the dishes, then they just may have to wait! Healthy baby = more important than clean dishes! And you should say "thanks for offering to help do them!" if she complains anymore!
Hopefully this helped your mom to understand this is more serious than just "not going to work" or whatever her idea of bedrest is! Seems like it should be clear that bedrest = resting IN bed. But I know other people who are like that too. "She's JUST on bedrest...she can come to the baby shower FOR HER!" type crap.
NO BLEEDING STAY PUT BABY!!!!!
Of course you'll do what you have to do for the baby because god forbid you even remotely feel that you can't be the mother you want to be to the boys.
XOXO
Stay put baby!!!!
T&P coming your way!
I saw your post from last night this morning... so I'm chiming in a bit late.
first of all lots of hugs...this kind of bleeding is so freaking scary. 2nd you are so lucky to be able to go home. I had my bad bleed at 29 weeks and my OB admitted me for the remainder of my pregnancy. The goal was 34 weeks....I made it to 33 weeks. Its so much better and easier to do the complete bedrest at home.
Lots of stay put baby vibes coming your way!
