Carseat question

Here's what we have: 2 vehicles that we use fairly often (1 with an integrated child seat), 1 infant seat with 1 base and 2 cosco scenera carseats.  I really don't want to buy a second base for the infant seat and I don't think we will be able to borrow a second one like we did with DD.  So I am thinking that the base and 1 carseat will go in my car and then the other carseat can go in the van (to be used for DC#2, it starts at 5 lbs) and DD can use the integrated child seat.  I guess my question is, would you use the Cosco Scenera for an infant, or would you use the infant carseat without the base?

I would use the infant seat without the base.  We used ours in my mom's care like that plenty of times without any problems.

I'd use the infant seat without the base. Just make sure you and DH are both trained to install it properly.
