Once excellent eater - now fussy

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
DS would once chow down anything, peas, carrots, turkey, beef etc. now he will only eat oatmeal. he purses his lips shut then when offered oatmeal he opens his mouth real big. Any ideas what happened or how to get around this?

    Can you mix those things into the oatmeal?

    We had a problem with DS where he was doing this -- he was literally only eating sweet potatoes and black beans for finger food (he would eat normally in puree form, but we were trying to switch them to mostly table food) -- everything else got thrown off his tray.  Once in a while we could sneak a few other things in, but that was about it.  He grew out of it, but it lasted almost a month.

    No advice. Maybe your LO is becoming a picky eater? Not sure how or why that would happen. DD cries after 3 consecutive bites of anything now... she was also an amazing eater... so I have to do a variety at every meal (so far it works). GL!
