The social worker I spoke with was great. As I told my parents, it wasn't as if she had to "search" for answers of the questions I asked. She was able to respond immediately, which made me feel as if she really knew what she was talking about. She loved my question (THANK YOU!!!) and was really able to fill in the puzzle pieces, it seemed. We just connected, which is what I was looking for.
The unfortunate thing is that we have to wait for a training class to start the process. While the next one is April 8, it's already full...so we have to wait until August! :-( But, I guess that'll give me time to work on what we want to put in our profile, work on the house a little more, and get more money saved in the bank.

I'm so glad it went well and that's great that you're going to use them. Sounds like the social worker really knew what she was talking about -- that's wonderful. I'm sorry you have to wait so long to take the first class. Will they call you if they have an opening in the April class at some point?
