Top 9 Baby Boy Names

We've narrowed it down to the top 9.  Let me know your thoughts.  (I wouldn't ask if I didn't want to hear it...lol.) Our last name is Foster and the baby's middle name will probably be Layne (after my father).  So it's __________ Layne Foster.

TIA!

Re: Top 9 Baby Boy Names

  • Okay, some of those are nice, some are meh, but are you really considering naming your son Doc???

  • I love the name Bennett.

Henry is way too popular for my taste.

All I can say to Doc is Indifferent.

The rest are not my style.

Lol...my husband is in love with the name Doc.  He really likes Wyatt as well, but that's my nephew's name so I think he wants some original and western like??? It's on our list because he loves it and it does sort of grow on you, I'm just not sold on it fully (for obvious reasons..."What's up Doc?", etc.)

  • If you did use Doc, you'd have to give him six siblings- and I'd feel sorry for the one called Dopey. Stick out tongue

And sorry, but Forrest Layne sounds like a nature trail.

Don't fight the feeling: it's really awful. Maybe let your husband get a dog and name him Doc to get it out of his system.

  • My FIL is a 60 year old man who can't shake the nickname Doc.  He would beg you not to give your child that name. lol

  • Actually, in our town, Doc has a really positive connotation:

  • I picked Forrest Layne...Forrest was one of my favorite boy names when naming DS. We ended up with an Oliver Lane!
  • I love Henry, Grayson and Max! my vote goes with Grayson, very different!
  • Does your DH have a thing for Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp? Wink

  • I voted for Leo.  I like Henry too, but it is too popular IMO.  My nephew is Leo and so the name has an adorable association for me.
  • I voted for Leo as well... bc that is DH's name! :-)

  • Love Layne. We are using Lane as a first name on our boy's list right now. I voted for Grayson Layne because i wanted to name our son Greyson Lane but DH made me take Greyson off the list! Still love it though. GL!
  • I wish I had a negative vote, so I could use it for Doc.

I voted Bennett, btw, but my second choice would have been Henry.

    Forrest Layne Foster?  Seriously?

    Go with Henry or Bennett.

This. However, I don't think Henry is very popular. Maybe it is popular in certain regions, though.

  • Leif and Forrest sound like nature trails with Layne as a mn. Plus, Forrest Foster? That sounds ridiculous.

    I love Henry!

  • I love the name Grayson!  Very cute!
  • So if your child becomes a doctor he would be Dr. Doc (insert your last name). Def don't like that name.

  • Not a fan of Ephraim or Doc. Hmm

One of our top boy names is Max!

    Love Bennett and Grayson too

    GL!

  • That's so funny. My DH thinks that Doctor is the most amazing name for a kid. I agreed to compromise and would consider giving him the initials M.D. should we have a boy (and find the right M name - we love Mason, but it's too popular) so he could use the nickname (now and then).

My vote is for Henry. Love that name. I also like Forrest.
