Is this normal - re: AF

So, for the past few months, either the day before I get my period or the day of, I've been experiencing a near fainting spell. A couple of months ago, I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and I had to race back to bed because I felt like I was going to pass out. I was sweating and shaking. I few hours later I got my period. Today it happened again. I actually had to put my head between my knees for a bit and I could feel the colour draining from my face.

Has this happened to anyone else?

  • No, I have never experienced anything like that. I would honestly call my obgyn if I were in your situation bc that does not sound normal to me. It could be low iron or something like that.

  • I had issues with this before I went on the NuvaRing for the first time.  I would almost black out the first morning of AF.  Something to do with rapid change of hormones.  Once I started BC things evened out and I was fine.  Make sure you at least are drinking your water and keeping your blood sugars level.  That should help.
