Gift for 1 year old...

We're looking at spending $100 or so on a gift.  Any ideas are very appriciated.

    Do you have any children's museums near you? If so, I would go for a membership depending on the price of course (ours was $100 for one year) and it is the best gift EVER!

    DD got a kitchen for her bday from DH's sister - it's awesome and she loves it!  I thought she would be too young, but she loves opening and closing the doors.  Very entertaining.

    My other "go to" gift is books.  Can't have enough books.  At $100, you could get several for different reading levels.

    I have a boy, but he loves kitchens, so that could be a great idea.  He has one at daycare and loves it.

    The idea of a children's museum is wonderful!!!  We DO have one close to our house, but have never been.  His bday is on a Thursday, THAT is what we'll do for his bday.  Thanks so much for all your ideas girls.  Wonderful help!
