swim diapers?

So I'm due at the end of july and a friend of mine has a pool that I would like to take LO in towards the end of August (we're in TX so we will still be swimming into October probably).

i know disposable swim diapers will not fit her that young b/c of the weight limit. What CD swim diapers should I look into? Does anyone make them small enough to fit a 6 week old? Do I need a specific "swim diaper" what do you ladies use?

BTW we will check with the pediatrician before swimming just to make sure it's ok, and I don't have any big plans other than just holding her while i'm in the water (not planning on dunking her under or anything)

I don't know if they're any good but Kushies small swim diapers should fit. They weighted for 6-14lbs. I know some women use just a diaper cover or a pocket without an insert for swimming (on occasion) but I've heard that will destroy the PUL pretty quickly. If you're planning on swimming on any regular basis I would opt for a swim diaper.

sorry not clicky... its Imse Vimse... the small says its for as small as 11 lbs, but I think it runs small.  Hope that helps

I think it's recommended to not take a baby younger than 2 months into the water; but I have experience with Bummis Swimmi and Imse Vimse swim diapers and like them both. Have fun, either way.
