Regular Laundry Help

ok DH's socks are GROSS and his boxers from playing basketball. He balls everything just and they just sit in the hamper. now even after a wash of just their own on hot they with detergent, oxi clean, and vinegar they are still crunchy. and it was only a small load. Is there a way to fix this? or should i toss the socks and get new ones? I would like to salvage them if possible.

    Men are gross.  Soak them in Oxy or  something?

    Yep! I do this to all of DH's gym clothes!?
