eliminating last bottle

Hey Ladies:)

I am getting ready to eliminate DS's nighttime bottle (he uses a cup throughout the rest of the day no problem) and I'm wondering, should I just eliminate that serving of milk altogether, or should I offer it in a sippy as he's getting his books read to him?  I really don't think he'll have a problem not using a bottle (sadly, it's just been my crazy schedule that has kept us from doing this sooner...), I'm just unsure about having the milk in general.

What did you do?

Re: eliminating last bottle

  • Since he takes a cup fine, I would just offer him that and snuggle and read as usual.

  • I guess it depends how much milk he is drinking throughout the day. Our pedi said to give three sippies of milk per day, so we give her the last one about an hour before bedtime (her wind-down time). If he's already drinking enough milk without the last bottle, you might try just dropping it altogether.
