I ordered some snow goggles that are "Asian Fit". Super important because the lack of a nose bridge can lead to some monstrous headaches with incorrect eyewear.
The email receipt I received states "Asian Fit". But when the package came, neither the packing slip nor the sticker on the box mentions "Asian Fit" at all. Both simply state the style name and the color. The same snow goggles are available in Regular Fit, so I would think the sticker should definitely state Asian Fit if it was, right?
We leave for our trip on Thursday, and it took these a week to get here and their Customer Service isn't open until Monday morning =o( The UPC is not printed on the email receipt, so I have no way to check. I guess I could wear it around for 20 minutes to see if I get a headache but hardly conclusive.
Re: NPR: Would this concern you?
I didn't ever know that asian was a size!
I would uh...see how they feel, first. I guess.
weird.
I wonder if big honkin' jew nose is a size option?
You and me both, BoF. I had no idea that "asian fit" was even an option. I seriously must be living under a rock.
I guess I'd "break them in" so to speak and see if they cause the headache that you fear. That sucks that the packaging doesn't state that's the googles are truly "asian fit."
=o) It's not a size, but more of a shape. For eyewear, they make the curve a little more flat, and the nose pads, if applicable, don't stand out so far from the frame. When I wore glasses with nose pads, they were pressed up all the way against the lenses and totally flat because there was no nose bridge for them to sit on (totally not exaggerating... see my nose in my sig? No, you totally don't.)
In general, our faces are flatter. Actually the snow goggle manufacturer calls theirs a "European/Asian fit" so maybe it applies to Eastern Europeans too?
