Amnio is scheduled

Checking for lung maturity - I'll be just a little more than 36 1/2 weeks.  They said they would get the results back in a few hours and could schedule the section for the next day.  The problem is....the first amnio appointment they could give me is a Friday....it's early in the morning, but I'm afraid that (if the lungs are ok) they'll make me wait until Monday.  I'm thinking the lungs will be good - especially since I've had the betamethasone shots - if she's ready, I want her out.  I am in a lot of pain now and two more weeks is going to be even worse.  I don't want the pain meds affecting her.

    I am right there with you.  I have my amnio to test for lung maturity on April 8th at exactly 36 weeks.  My induction will follow if the results are favorable otherwise we wait until the 37 week mark and induce regardless due to cholestasis.  The induction for me is already on the books; in fact, I told them I would bring my hospital bag and wait in the lobby on the results.  I am SO READY to be finished with this pregnancy.
