when you first got AF? A post on 1st Tri made me wonder.

 I was 9, in the 4th grade, and thought that since we had just watched that video about it that all of the girls in my class got it at the same time. I'm pretty sure I bled for a full day before I told my mom too. She gave me the option of staying home and delivering Girl Scout cookies to my aunts & uncles or go to school and change my pad every few hours. I opted to stay home, which I regretted on the very first delivery because my mom proceeded to tell everyone why I was home that day. It was pretty humiliating.

It's crazy how I remember that day like it was yesterday. I have been "friends" with AF for 19 years and 1 month

I was in 6th grade so that would make me 11 - so we are 20 year BFFs.  The only other memory I have is the first time I used tampons in the summer after 7th grade so I could go to a waterpark.  I am so nervous they wouldn't work.

edited to add where: I was on a church ski trip in Wolf Laurel, NC, my dad was with us and I wouldn't let my sister tell him.  Another girl who was my age had a suitcase full of tampons...and liners, I took a couple of liners and can't remember if my sister sold me out to my dad or not. (I thought the 14 year old using tampons was "cool" lol, I thought she was so "grown".)

I was 9 also but in the 5th grade.  My mom let me stay home from school.  I remember asking her if I was old enough to shave my legs since I was old enough to have a period.  She must have thought it was either really funny or she agreed because she showed me how that same day.

Thank you!  It's a girl, her name's Laila.  That pic was taken a week or so after we got her.  We got her when she was 7 weeks, now she's 3 and a half months.  We love her!

My dad apparently was really worried that my boobs were going to be HUGE, turns out that they barely grew to an A and stopped. I could wear a training bra now if I wanted to. And since they are significantly cheaper I may have one.

I think my younger sister was 11 and she started getting boobs when she was 9.  I think I will go somewhere and cry if dd develops early.  Her dad was a late bloomer too, so I hope it is in the genes.  I am one of 4 girls, evenly split in the development department, oldest and youngest early blooms, middle children late.

11.... in the middle of band; it literally leaked right threw my pants to the point that people could see ::mortified::  I went to the nurses office then roughed it the rest of the day in gym clothes!

I wish I got boobs then!  I didn't get anything but a very, very small B until I was 23.  2 years ago I got a boob job and went for a full C. 

I had to use tampons right from the start too!  I was on the varsity swim team and in the middle of practices and meets.  Sucked!  My mom gave me the little pamphlet in the box and tried to explain, but she was so nervous lol.

14 but def. a late bloomer...now I have 38 DD but I remember being told by G.U. (a boy I had a crush on) that I didn't have boobs...I had nipples rolled up...it's funny how that stuff stays with you lol

My mom drew me a hot bath because she thought I would have cramps, and I just got in because I thought maybe it was something you were supposed to do, but, I didn't have cramps then and I've never had them since.

This is our first boxer.  I grew up with small to medium size dogs, so I'm anxious to see how big she's going to get!  She's so sweet and fun, but yes stubborn, and loves to chew whatever she's not supposed to when she's bored or mad at us.
