coworker had a m/c today

she was around 7 wks and had already told EVERYONE including her 3 year old.  She just had a m/c at the end of Dec.  I feel so bad for her.  It freaks me out too because I am around 5 wks.  I had a m/c before DD so I am super paranoid about having another.  I just hate that anyone has to suffer through a m/c.

Re: coworker had a m/c today

  • Oh, the poor thing. We waited until I was well out of my first trimester to tell DS because I couldn't bear to explain it to him if something happened.

Hang in there and try not to worry!

  • How sad...especially for the 3 year old who will have a hard time understanding it :(   I am very surprised that she told her 3 year old after just having had a m/c in Dec....one would think she'd have been more cautious with spreading the news this time.  I m/c at 9 wks with my 4th pregnancy & we had just told everyone at 8 wks (fortunately we had only told our oldest DS, who was 12 at the time & not our 2 younger DDs).  Our 12 year old was very upset.  The next time I got pg (our 4th child) we waited to tell everyone until 13 wks (and 4 u/s later)  to be on the safe side.  I didn't want to upset our son again, if it was possible to avoid.
