2 room baby monitors

I have been searching for the dual room baby monitor - our 2 year old rooms and babies room are right across the hall from each other and we absolutely need a monitor in both rooms because you can not hear the rooms from parts of downstairs or when I do laundry, etc.  I dont feel the need to get a video monitor but will if I can find one cheap enough to do in two rooms.  Isnt there a monitor that goes back and forth in rooms?? I really searched every website without luck. I have heard that if I put a separate one in each room they will cross when both are on together.

Any experiences?? I am 38 weeks now and was hoping to have this before I delivered but had to give up searching for a while because I wasnt finding anything ............ thanks!

We just got the Summer Infant MultiView video monitor (it comes with 2 cameras).  It is pricey,  but that is what our inlaws are getting us.  I am excited to have a video monitor this time especially b/c sometimes during the night if DS is crying I will walk in just as he is laying back down and then the screaming starts all over again!  My DH was a fanatic when he started sleeping in his room and wanted me to check on him every 10 minutes.  I can't deal with that especially since we just moved into a new/bigger house.  I need to be able to take a peak without going all the way to their rooms.
