Oh my goodness, I know the feeling! Now that the nursery's done, I walked in last night and started rocking in the chair. And then it hit me: there is going to be another person living in this room! Gah!

I have an almost 20 month old and an almost 4 month old and I still ask myself "what the heck am I going to do?" LOL. It's not that bad. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it's really challenging but for the most part it's a lot of fun. They LOVE each other, it's amazing to see them interact.
Good luck:)

I have a 20 month old and a 4 month and it's really not so bad. Yes, some days are chaotic, but it's definitely not like I thought it would be. Natalie was a little jealous in the beginning, but now she just loves her little sister and wants to give her kisses all the time.
Most days I'm in denial, but then there are days like today for some reason... where I'm feeling the same as you! I'm sitting here, thinking to myself, holy shiit! I'm going to have a toddler and a newborn. I feel like I'm on a non-stop train to Crazytown. Good luck to us all!

I'm on the first few hectic days but I will say - as long as your DH steps up w/ your DS and the food/dishes/house stuff for a while, I think you'll be a-o-k. I am genuinely finding if you can adjust to the sleep stuff newborns are actually relatively mellow, at least you know their crying is more need based...
Sierra's tantrums are way harder on me than this guy crying because he wants to be held or fed or changed... at least so far I might eat my words in a few weeks.. but because I was so insomniatic for the last few months of pregnancy I'm used to 3-5 hours (more like 3 now) of sleep a day ANYWAY, it's not phasing me too much at this point.
