L&D last night- got steroid shot

I went to L&D last night because pelvic pressure and back pain is so bad now. Also LO isn't moving as much as she used to and they said that's because of how low she is. They checked my cervix which closed up last week but is a fingertip now again, and the nurse said my cervix is not hard at all and not long.. so do I take that as shortening cervix?? Idk.. but they talked to my dr who decided to give me the steroid shot to speed up the growth of LO's lungs because he's convinced she's coming very soon. That's so scary. I wanna at least make it to 34 weeks because he said she'd be considered full term and totally fine, but he thinks it'll be within these next few weeks. My heart races to just the thought of that.. I wanna be able to take her home when she's here and if she comes this early she'll be stuck in the hospital :-( They're also keeping me on Procardia every 4 hours and I'm now on strict bed rest.
Anyways there's my update. Hoping for better news from now on. Anyone else have new scares??

I was in the hospital a few weeks ago and received the steroid injections too - but luckily my blood pressure was able to be regulated with rest and 24 hour urine came back ok, so now I'm at home on "couch potato" rest (what my doc calls it, lol). We are hoping to get to 37 weeks.... but it's a daily monitoring thing. For example, yesterday my BP was great, today it's 150/110...... so I really have to take it easy. It really is miserable knowing how much I have to do but I can't do it. I even had a cleaning service come and clean my house today.... which was worth the money for my sanity.

I hope things quiet down and you get another 7 weeks!  I am sorry you are stuck in the hospital, and totally understand your fears and the possible disappointment of coming home without your baby.

Oh no I'm not stuck in the hospital I'm back home haha sorry I meant I'm worried LO will be stuck in the hospital when she comes.

Wow, it sounds like we are both going through the same exact thing. ?I'm also having a little girl (supposed to be due June 22nd). ?I was just in the hospital for pelvic pressure where they also gave me the steroid shots & meds to stop the contractions. ?They kept me for a few days & now I'm on home bedrest without meds, dilated 1cm & a short cervix of 2.5

?I still get contractions in waves (right now they're about every half hour) & I still have tons of pelvic pressure which both freak me out. ?

I hope we can keep our girls in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Dang that IS similar! Our girls are just too eager lol I'm having contractions everyday too, about 2 or 3 an hour. Procardia is making me feel like pooooop too so I'm just all BLAH right now lol! Stay longer, baby girls!

(Raises hand too!) I am right there with ya. I just posted a long update above. Got my 2nd shot today and will go home tomorrow for strict bedrest. My ctx have been as fast as 2 minutes and as long as 15 minutes and then sometimes they disappear all together. It is so scary! Did the doc say how short your cervix is?
