I called my doc, and let the nurse know what's been going on, and she asked a ton of questions, and it made me realize that I have not been feeling him move much in the last 2 days, which is really unusual. So I go in a few hours for a more detailed cervical check, and a biophysical profile. I'm trying not to worry, I know my doc will take care of me. I've heard of a BPP, but have no idea what it is or what it consists of!
Thanks to those who responded to my post last night!
Re: update:Hi Ladies! ? (advice) regarding shortening cervix. Long, sorry!
A BPP - is an ultrasound to check on the growth and overall condition of the baby, monitor the heart rate, breathing, amniotic fluid, etc. They will also look at the placenta and cervical length and conidtion. They may also do a NST - non-stress test as well - it just depends on your office.
Try not to worry too much and you'll have some answer soon.
