have a plan and feeling good

i met with the nutritionist yesterday, and i think it went really well.  she answered my questions, i got a ton of handy dandy little resource books, and now i have a plan.  i'm allowed 30 g carbs for breakfast and lunch, 15 g carbs for three snacks (one between breakfast and lunch, and two between lunch and dinner), 30-45 g carbs for dinner, and 30 g carbs for an evening snack.  that seems really doable to me, and hopefully i won't feel so hungry all the time like i had been feeling.  and i bought a new cookbook - diabetes diet cookbook, by prevention magazine.

it feels good to have a plan.  i like plans.  i can work with plans.  i even sat down and planned out the next couple days' food, and i have dinner planned through next week.  i feel much more in control this thursday than i did last thursday, that's for sure!

  • I met with the dietician yesterday and I too feel soooo much better! It was awesome to go into the hospital cafeteria and know exactly what was ok to try, and what wasn't.

  • I agree, having a plan feels so much better than the unknown.  Good luck!
