Hi Ladies,
So my hard core anti-western medicine sister sent me this link today.
https://www.drbrewerpregnancydiet.com/id33.html
It is interesting and although I take it all with a grain of salt (seriously this diet told my sister who had pre-e to eat more protein and "salt to taste"-- she LOVES salt), it brings up some interesting points.
I like to live on the border between western medicine and alternative/natural/eastern methods. I realize that I am both obese and sedentary, so I suspect that GD is a reasonable diagnosis for me. However I was feeling crappy until I changed my diet and then felt MUCH better.
Now that I'm testing however I'm struggling again. My numbers feel slightly uncontrollable (still acceptable but large swings apparently unrelated to food choices) and I'm consistently eating significantly less carbs than the usual amount for the diet.
Do you think it is possible that I'm not eating ENOUGH carbs???
Re: GD interesting article and ??
Yeah, I'm not into the diet this particular doctor recommends either, but feel like I'm playing russian roulette with my diet just to keep my sugars under control.
I definitely feel better since changing my diet, but worse since really altering it to keep my sugars under control. Starting to think maybe there is a happier medium perhaps?
