My poor dog :(

a couple of weeks ago she slipped in my parents yard and tore her ACL/MCL in her knee. We were finally able to book the surgery for her and it was yesterday. DH picked her up last night and her poor sutured knee looks awful:( She was loopy yesterday and the doc said today will be the hardest day because the pain meds will have worn off mostly. She's still on a pain med ( like Motrin) and anti-inflammatory. She already had an accident this am in my foyer and DS had a meltdown when I had to put him down and attend to her ( I need to ice her knee for 15min three times a day) Then it took a little while for him to fall asleep for his nap. Looks like I have a long day ahead of me.....Im trying to decide to keep DS swim appt or cancel for today since I can't leave the dog alone or else she'll bite at her sutures. And she hasn't eaten anything yet today but is drinking. My poor baby, I hope she feels better soon

Aww  poor thing, Hope she feels better doon. I'd stay home with her.

Yeah, I cancelled swim class and just called my dad to come over...thank God he lives 5 minutes from here and doesnt have to b at work til 2.
