How do you do it? DS is so squirmy in his bath I'd be afraid to drop him if we were both wet.

We sit in the tub together and he splashes and plays with his toys. I only fill the tub up to just below his belly button.

I usually sit and hold her in my lap, or I stretch my legs out and hold her up and let her walk between them.  She plays with some toys, and I wash her belly while she's leaning back against mine.  I sit her forward against my hand to wash her back.  Then I tuck her legs under my arm and lean her back while holding the back of her neck with my hand to wash her hair.  I think it's so much easier than giving her baths on her own.   It is a  little tricky to get myself and her out of the bath on my own, so if DH isn't there to help, I set her bouncy seat right outside the bath covered in a towel.  I lay her there while I get out and dry off, then dry her off.

This is how we do it as well.

I shower with DS.  He's kinda squirmy but I'm really comfortable holding him (even wet), so it's not an issue.  I hold him facing me first, while I clean his back/head/arms/butt...then I flip him over and clean his belly/legs/feet/groin areas. 

When I'm finished I hand him to DH.  DH dries/diapers and clothes him while I finish my shower/getting dressed.

I sat with him on my lap until recently. As soon as we sit down he wants to stand up and bang on the ledge so I just make sure to help support him so he doesn't fall.  If DH is home I have him take DS out, otherwise I do it.

Pretty much everything everyone else said. When it is time to get out - I drain the water. Then I dry off my hands - pick him up, put a towel around him and sit him on the floor while I dry off and get out of the tub.
