My grandpa passed away last Wednesday. It was extremely hard on all of us and I know it will take a while til it no longer feels like there is a hole left behind. The funny thing is, before we took our last second trip to Arkansas to be with him before he passed DH and I were on the brink of calling it quits. Actually, I was on the brink. I was done feeling alone and feeling like things were just getting more and more one sided and I couldn't take it anymore. Before I left I said to him that if this was all there was to our marriage that I would be considering packing my bags when I got home. Something in him snapped and he ended up booking a ticket on my flight out with me and DS. He was by my side ALL week, amazing with DS, attentive, loving, sweet, fun, supportive to my entire family. He was everything that I fell in love with 4 years ago. I can't believe that the hardest thing I've been through literally saved my marriage. Even since we've been back there is a spark and fire there that hasn't been there in a really long time. So thank you grandpa for bring us back together.
