Has their reflux improved? Are they still on meds? Increased or switched?
I was told it was suppose to get better by 6 months or so by the GI specialist ..... yes, it's not AS bad as it use to be but when it happens there is a lot!!! (at times the COULD have or eaten)
We have cut the cereal out of the bottle sine they get more solids now .... just curious to hear others situations
Re: 9monthers+ (Re: Reflux)
her reflux was still prevalent at 6mo. even with the meds. However it has really dropped off since. Probably 7 months was the true turning point where we don't even have to give her the meds any longer.

DD is still on prevacid. We are about to start giving it to her every other day. And then hopefully soon stop completely.
We tried going down to every other day a few months ago and she would spit up soooo much in the mornings after her initial bottle. So we went back to every day, but we also started giving her solids first thing in the morning. So when she wakes she has fruit mixed with oatmeal cereal and a small bottle of formula to wash it down. We found that putting solids into her stomach first thing helped a ton with spitting up the rest of the day. So now we try to go back to Prevacid every other day with solids first thing and see if she does okay. Then hopefully as she moves on to more and more table foods we can be done with Prevacid completely! (My pedi always told us that it should be gone by a year)
