Where did I go wrong?

my good sleeper has suddenly decided she does not need to nap or go to bed. Its a fight at every sleep-time. And what's worse, since she's in a big girl bed, she just gets out of bed. Unless she falls asleep in the car, getting her to sleep is a battle.

What to do??

I guess its time to re-read Dr. Weissbluth.

If you makes you feel any better, H started the same thing about a month or so ago. Naps are better now pretty much b/c she's exhausted from having a party in her crib the night before. We have an occasional day here and there with no nap which = an early bedtime and going to sleep right away. Usually at naptime she is usually out in 10 minutes max. At the beginning of this mess, it would take her 1 hour + to go to sleep at naptime too. I was scared she was giving up naps. Now bedtime is another story. We've tried earlier and later bedtimes and it doesn't seem to matter. She rolls around, plays with her babies and stuffed animals, sings, babbles, calls for mommy and daddy to "come here" and this will go on for upwards of an hour - 1.5 hours. Then she goes to sleep and will sleep through the night. Granted H is still in her crib and she can't escape. For awhile,I thought it was teeth and then I thought it was b/c she was sick. It's kinda like she is in a phase between needing and not needing a nap. I really just think it's a developmental stage that I pray will be over soon. GL.
