Mine are a little over 9 months, but it was about the same at 8. They have three meals a day and have four oz of stage 2 baby food. Then they had 4-5 oz bottles between each meal. Then maybe an extra between lunch and dinner just depends. I also gave them puffs to snack on after meals while I fed the other. I believe I had introduce juice in a sippy cup also with the puffs. They are just now getting the sippy cups down though. Now I give them puffs and pieces of a banana after each meal because they still act hungry. So they split a banana and have at least a hand full of puffs. They are big eaters really. They want some of whatever I'm eating too.
Oh, and for their four oz of baby food they get half a jar of veggies and half a jar of fruit to make the four oz. This is what the doctor told us to do, and at their 9 month check up she told me to introduce soft fruits and foods like bananas.
Around 8 months we started feeding them solids 3 times a day. Our schedule looked like:
Wake up 7am: 5-6 oz bottle
Breakfast 8:30: each baby had 1 container of Gerber stage 2 fruits with Oatmeal cereal and then some finger foods (mum mums, puffs, banana, peaches, pears, etc)
Lunch 12: 1 container Gerber stage 2 veggie, if it was a thinner veggie, I mixed in some rice cereal to thicken it up, and a 4 oz bottle. Then some finger foods, mum mums, puffs, yogurt melts, peas, brocolli, carrots, sweat potato, cheese, pasta, etc)
Snack 3pm: usually just some finger foods
Dinner 4:30-5: 1 container Gerber stage 2 veggies with rice cereal, 4 oz bottle and some finger foods, mixture of what is above.
Bedtime 7 with a 5-6 oz bottle.
As they get better with finger foods you can try more. We now do tofu, shredded chicken, graham crackers, bread, pancakes, all types of fruits & veggies.
