Hello!!
So, I am looking foward to the month of october (due date ---at the end of october....and this is my first pregnancy)! On November 20 of this year, I am going to be a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. My question goes out on how to order your bridesmaid dress ---I am ordering next week!! I will be about 3 weeks postpartum when the wedding arrives...and I'm planning on breast feeding! Does anyone have helpful suggestions!! Thanks ![]()
Re: dress sizes...
I would order it at least 2 sizes bigger than you currently wear then have it altered. I was in a wedding, had to order the dress when I was 8 weeks pregnant & was in the wedding when I was 30 weeks pregnant!! I ordered it 2 sizes bigger & had it altered.
I lost all of my pregnancy weight within a month of delivering... but not everyone does that (I EBF). They also have GREAT post partum body slimmers...
Good Luck!
Well, I'm about the size I was at 18ish weeks but I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight. Expect to possibly curvier, especially through the hips and chest. Everyone is different, so it's hard to know what you should expect - but plan for a little bigger measurements that early pp.
I'm going to be in a wedding at 4 months pp and I had to be measured for my dress at 37 weeks. Bridal shops know what they are doing and they will take your pregnancy into consideration. Since I was that close to the end of my pregnancy, my hips had already gotten a little wider - so they went off of my bust and hip measurements to get the size. It was larger than the size I'd worn for the previous two weddings I was in, but I figured that was normal after having a baby.
Plan for possible breast leaking. I've planned on getting Lilypadz for the wedding if I am still having issues by then. Good luck!
