Just wanted to drop you all a line and let you know I haven't forgotten you! Troy and I bought our restaurant last week, so I've been out of my "normal" bedrest area and routine. I don't get to use the internet most of the day while I'm at our new place untill I get moved back to my Mom's, usually late in the evening. And I'm exhausted by the little bit of acitivy that my body is not used to, so I just end up crashing.
I hope you all are doing well and your babies are cooking wonderfully! Keep your chins up ladies and stay off your feet. I had a reminder last night that bedrest rules are important and NOT to be broken.
It was driving me nuts that everyone else was painting Troy and I's new living room and playroom and I kept getting up from my chair to check on what was going on in the other rooms as well as insisting that I got to paint a chalk board. I only took one nap laying flat down and I paid for it last night. We thought we were going to have to go to L&D...I was having very painful contrax close together on our ride back to our "old house". Thankfully they stopped, but I really thought I was going into labor. And I knew Livy wasn't ready to come out and needed to keep cooking. I prayed harder on that 1 1/2 hour ride back then I ever have. I promised I'd follow the rules as long as they stopped. I begged Troy to let us come home and try laying flat on my side (and let me pee) before going to the hospital. Thankfully it worked and while I'm exhausted and sore today, my baby is still cooking.
So a little reminder ladies...what you all are doing right now is very important! I hope you all are doing well and am excited to be able to check in with you all this weekend while we are staying at the "old house"!!
Re: Bedrest Mama's....
Hey Michelle- I've been thinking about you. Congrats on the restaurant! How wonderful. You two are so brave to go for such a huge undertaking with all that you're going through with this pregnancy. You should be really proud of yourselves.
I'm glad your contrax calmed down! So when are you moving into the new place for good? Will you have to switch hospitals/docs? It sounds like the restaurant is closer to your Mom's house- which will be great for when Livy gets here!
If you get a chance, I'd love to see some restaurant pics!
We will be moving down there for good next week! It's an 1 1/2 hours away so we won't be switching hospitals, we'll just drive up here when labor starts. Troy will rent a hotel room with a jacuzzi for me to labor in if things aren't going very fast. They want me to stay at this hospital since my HR doc is there and they all know my situation. It's also the closest hospital with a NICU, which is important since Livy is so small.
We are glad they stopped too. In all honesty, we should have gone strait in to L&D, but with two dogs in the truck and U-Haul on back, there was just now way. I was so glad that they finally calmed down, though I almost felt like my body was just so exhausted it needed to rest! Either way, I am so grateful. Tired and sore today like no other, but glad I'm not in the hospital!!
I'll post some pics as soon as I can. The place is in shambles right now, since they are painting and cleaning the upstairs, so all our stuff is downstairs in the restaurant. But I will take some pics and get them posted. I can't wait to finish Livy's nursery and the playroom!!!
good to hear from you! glad your contrax slowed down - I've had days like that too. take it easy from now on!!!
my big news is that my c-section is scheduled for 3/25, at 35w1d!!!
can't wait to see pics of your new place and the restaurant!
so glad your contrax slowed down and that you will be taking it easy and keeping livvy cooking as long as possible.
OMG, that's so soon!! Good Luck! I'll be sending lots of T&P's your way and hope to see some pics of your LO's!
Michelle, I'm glad you got you contrax stopped. You be good for the next couple of weeks. No more violating bed rest rules!
You're 35 weeks, 4 days. Do you realize you're only one day from being where I was when Samuel was born? I can't believe how close we are to meeting little Livy!!!!!!
Michelle! I havent talked to you in forever. I miss you! Glad to hear the restaurant is coming along!
How's Livy doing?
