    Can you add me to the list?  We found out yesterday that we are having b/g twins!  My due date is 9/4/10.

    QOTD - My mom is planning on coming over after DH goes back to work to help, not sure about night help yet but I'm taking all the day help I can get!

    Update- passed my 35 week NST, so I am free to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!  I have lots of social plans crammed in to enjoy these last few days (hopefully week or two) of freedom.

    QOTD: I am lucky because my husband works from home, so he will be here with me.  My parents live 1 mile away, so I expect that my mom will be here everyday, and then my MIL is coming for a week mid-April.  After she leaves, my aunt (who is a nurse and mom of 2) will come for a week or so.  And, if I am struggling, we have agreed to hire a post-partum doula!  I am not worried with all the love and support around me, though.

    Update- Waiting on the results of my 3 hour GD test.... it's torture.

    QOTD:  DH will be home for a week, my Mom will stay with me for a week, and then we'll see.  My sister currently only works part time.  If she still has that schedule, she'll be over on the days she's not working.  I'm not planning on hiring anyone though.  I'm not returning to work after the girls are born, so we won't have the extra money that we're accustomed to.  I've got great friends who are around me, so I'm not really concerned.

    i'm from southern ca and that's where all of my family lives. we moved to the east coast about 4 years ago where dh's family is from. my mom says she's coming to help but she's not much of a help so i'll believe it when i see it. mil is not particularly maternal but has offered to get us a night nurse.

    we have a housekeeper to come help with the house so i can focus on the babies and not worry about the house and then the night help will come a few times a week to help with feedings, laundry and bottle cleaning/sterilization. i've got friends scheduled to come during the day for a few hours each day the first month or so.

    Do you plan on having extra help when the babies are first born?  If so, from whom i.e. parents, in laws, siblings, friends, doula, nurse, nanny?

    We are signing up for lotsof helpinghands.com....org?  I dunno. Anyway, its a calendar that you put in times that you would like help and people just sign themselves up.  That way, you don't have to take a bazillion phone calls and schedule people while trying to care for muliple babies, and in some cases older kids.

    No updates.

    QOTD: We have a lot of people offering. DH will probably take the first week off of work. And I expect my mom to come stay for a little while. And then I figure we will see how much help we need and tell all of the offerers on an as needed basis if we need anymore help.

    Update: I'm 37w2d and will be induced at 38w unless something happens before then. I'm glad I've made it so far and really glad to have a plan.

    QOTD: My parents live 15 away and my mom will take some days off and help. DH has a week of paternity leave and will work from the house as much as possible the first month. And MIL is retired and will be coming down to help out as well. So, I guess the answer is, yes, we will have a lot of help :)

    Update:  Had an NST and BPP today.  Everyone is doing fine.  Babies flipped yet AGAIN -- just yesterday, they were in opposite positions of where they are today...it is just insane...they are really beating me up.

    QOTD:   My mom will be with us for the first 2 weeks and we are hiring a 24/hour baby nurse for 2-3 months.  She'll start after my mom leaves.

    QOTD: Do you plan on having extra help when the babies are first born?  If so, from whom i.e. parents, in laws, siblings, friends, doula, nurse, nanny?  Yes?my DH will be home for the 1st week depending on when I deliver and all.  Then my mom and brothers are for sure coming to help me out.  And I have 3 older step-children that are more than excited to have little brothers in the house again and are willing to hold or feed a baby if need be.  I don't want to overuse them and have them hate me or the babies?if you know what I mean.  I want their summer to still be for them and a break for fun with friends and such.  I pretty sure I will have other friends and family members come over once in a while to help out?but don't know for sure.

    Update:  Had my Level II ultrasound yesterday- all looks good :)  Saw girl parts on A and boy parts on B!

    QOTD:  My DH will take 2 weeks off and my mom will be up here from weeks 2-6.  We'll also have a baby nurse 24/7 until both twins STTN.

    QOTD: My DH may take off two instead of one week when the twins are born.  My MIL also plans on coming for as long as one month when the twins are born.  I do not know my MIL very well and she does not speak much English, but any help will be welcomed and appreciated :)  It will be interesting, it is the first grandchild on DH's side.

    Just DH and maybe not even that.  He and my son might spend time at my parents' weekend/summer place for a little (re: a week or so) during his 6-week paternity leave.

    I'm a little late on this, but DH is taking 4 weeks vacation to help me out. We're due in October then he'll take his usual 2 weeks off at Christmas. His parents live close and my Mom is about a 40 minute drive.  I'd rather not have a ton of outside help, I know, I know we'll probably need it b/c we're having twins, but I'm a very private person and frankly my mil drives me crazy!

    So I caved... and we found out we're expecting two girls!!!

    My mother in law will come by to help, other cousins as needed. We plan on DH being home with use for at least the first few days. My doula is also available to me since she's a great friend. I do have a friend who has offered her 12 year old to keep my toddler occupied. So I'll definately be utilizing that!We don't have anything concrete figured out yet. Guess that's something I need to really think about!
