mayfield dairy tours?

anyone ever been to this (in Braselton)?  how is the tour?  I have a 2 1/2 year old and am wondering if she'd enjoy it or if it's boring

I've been told its just "ok" but the ice cream at the end was good. I'm thinking of taking the boys one day this spring...

If you're thinking you'll see cows... the only one you'll see is the big fiberglass cow outside. The plant in Braselton is a milk plant where they get milk in trucks from other dairies, make the jugs and then fill the jugs. The "tour" is showing a 10-minute film and then leading you around the back to look through windows on the plant floor.

The good part is you can buy a giant scoop of delicious ice cream for $1. And any Mayfield-branded junk you could ever want.

Here are some farms that offer dairy farm tours with cows and such. I'd call for more information or what ages they recommend.

Also with farms you need to call ahead to find out when the tours are scheduled. Most farms will turn you away if you show up without calling first; many schedule tours on the weekends, by private appt., or may only offer them at certain times of the year. Some also charge a nominal fee per person, usually $2-7:
