If you're over 40, did your OB limit how far past your EDD he/she'd let you go & did the 'limit' have anything to do with your age? I forgot to ask my OB but will ask her at my next appt on Wed.

Just wondering if age changes how long overdue they'd let someone go (I realize it can vary between docs...just wondering about your experience).

I am not 40, but 35.  I did ask my OB this question and he said that back in the day, before u/s's were so advanced, he would carry someone 10 days past due date.  But now, which technology, he doesn't see any reason to and will induce within 2 days of estimated due date if you want to be.  I would just ask, but I think as long as you have had a healthy pregnancy, being 40 would not make a difference.  Congratulations.
