I have an (ancient) notebook, so looking to get either a new netbook or laptop. I'm a SAHM....if that matters (not for business at all).
Primary use will be be internet/email, take with us OOT/vacation, and I'd like to be able to do my photoshop stuff on there as well. I have PS Elements 5 now....nothing elaborate. PSE is on our desktop now, and I just use the notebook for internet/email during the day. Also, I do some accounting stuff for our church....so I have a number pad with USB hookup and wireless mouse for that...so I MUST have 2+ USB ports.
I like the Netbook for it's size/portability, but not sure if it's too small. On the other hand, for daily/use just playing around online, I feel the laptop is too big. I also don't like that (most) laptops in the 15" screen size range don't have media readers.
So, if you have a netbook....is it good for photoshop? What don't you like about the netbook.
If you have a 15" laptop...cons about portability?
Thanks!
Re: Netbook or Laptop?
For using PS, I'd recommend a laptop. I don't think most netbooks are all that powerful. Plus, they have a tiiiiiny screen. It would be hard to see what you are doing.
I have a 15.6" laptop and don't find that it is cumbersome at all.
