I say that realizing every pregnancy is different, people are different sizes, shapes and what not but I am almost 15 weeks and I feel like I felt 7-8mo pregnant with ds. Not only is my stomach bigger this time around but I am very uncomfortable. I also realize I had some left over from ds so that is added on but I'm really going to hate seeing my stomach when I reach 7-8mo

Thanks for the vent!
Re: Anyone feel bigger than they "should" be
I agree, at my first u/s the baby was 2 days behind and then they didn't let me know the growth on the NT scan so I am anxious to see how the baby is measuring at my 20wk u/s. I am a diabetic and I am prone to have a big baby but usually that doesn't happen until a little later.
Yeah, I think I saw what might be the beginning of a stretch mark on my boob this morning.... SOOOO not cool.
I do. Some days I have really bad pelvic pain that shoots down my leg, and I can feel every single ounce of the weight I've gained. I get really concerned about how I'm going to feel in June.
how late does the baby start getting "big" with diabetes? I was thinking maybe my sugar has been high and that's why the baby is big and I'm in turn getting big. I worry too much, lol.
I've had stretch marks on my boobs for a looong time now....way before pregnancy. I don't mind mine since they are on the sides and you can't see them when I'm wearing clothes.
This is my second pregnancy and this time with twins. Yes, without question!
I read today that at 15 wks baby is about as big as an apple or 4 inches long. I already have 8 inches of baby.

Well I am a Type 1 insulin dependent not GD and if I remember correctly with ds I measured big a majority of the pregnancy even though my numbers were controlled. My doctor hasn't said anything so far so we will see. Do you have GD? Oh and btw ladies my stomach and boobs are full of stretch marks because of ds so this mama will never take a bare belly pic. But I do remember the first stretch mark I got with ds, I almost cried
agreed! I would take this any day because of the reward at the end. Just not sure if I will be walking around very much as I move ahead!
Yes, I feel huge. I had a little extra insulation though before baby that was mostly on belly. It adds to the baby bump and I think makes me look even bigger.
I'll just think of it as responsible parenting lol. I wanted to keep our baby warm since we conceived in the winter!
IVF #1 = BFP!! So blessed to have our baby boy! IVF #2 = Convert to frozen - 1 frostie! IVF #3 = Convert to frozen - 1 frostie! FET #1 = 8/14, Two transferred, One stuck! Praying for another healthy miracle! Due: 5/2/13
hmm...at my NT scan the baby was measuring a bit big but I don't remember by how much. they haven't tested me for GD yet but I am concerned about taking it since diabetes does run in my family...nobody in my immediate family has it though. I just tend to worry a lot. I'm not too worried about the stretch marks because they hopefully will lighten up a lot in time like my other stretch marks.
Yes! I feel like this past month or so my weight gain has been a bit more than I expected and the actual dimensions of my belly grew so much, it seems like more than it perhaps should have been. I'm thinking it didn't help much last week DH bumped into a friend of ours (whom I hadn't known was pregnant) and DH told me she is 8 months pregnant and showing same as I am! (I was 22 weeks at the time) I'm built very small so I've been kinda expecting that if 25-35 lbs is what the dr recommends, I would likelu fall towards the lower end of that so my expectations have been based on that - maybe I'm wrong, I plan to ask my dr about it at my appointment next week but I also know that since I am still within a range of what is normal based on 25-35 lb weight gain, the dr likely won't care.
I assume it's just that this is my 3rd pregnancy. But yes, I am defintiely bigger than most at 15 weeks. Most people think I'm at least 5 months along if not 6. Everyone assumes I already know the gender and am due in just a few months. I wish. I'm due Labor Day.
I'm not offended by it though. I am a tiny person PP and I always gain a little more than normal (40lbs-ish) and I gain it early each time too... THis is just how my body deals with pregnancy. And since my muscles are stretched out from previous pregnancies I am showing MUCH earlier. (I was in mat clothes at 8 weeks this time). Oh well. At the end of the summer I'll have a new baby. No worries.
I feel a lot bigger than I should be too...also all belly. This is my first pregnancy and I'm 16-weeks and a couple days as well. Based on your picture I think I'm almost the exact same size as you right now. I am pretty short and was also pretty small pre-pregnancy but I've already gained about 5 lbs more than I should have at this point. I'm eating healthy but the weight seems to just be piling on. I'm hoping I don't have a giant baby as well. I was a small baby (6lbs) but my mom gained 50 lbs when she was pregnant with me...I was hoping to stay in the 25-35 lb range but that doesn't seem very likely.
